How we work.
Opinions we hold strongly because they've been earned. These shape every system the studio ships.
Ship, don't demo
A demo impresses once. A system runs every day. We verify end to end — endpoints hit, output checked, edge cases handled — before anything is called done.
Source-backed by default
Every consequential claim carries evidence and a date. Humans and AI agents can both check the work, because the work shows its sources.
Approval-safe
Nothing consequential — a send, a deploy, a write, a payment — happens without an explicit human gate. Automation drafts; people decide.
Free-first infrastructure
Open-source and local-first wherever it holds. Paid services earn their place; they aren't the default. Cost is a design constraint, not an afterthought.
Built for the edge
Low bandwidth, low-end devices, low literacy, regulated data. If it only works in ideal conditions, it doesn't work. We design for the hardest real user first.
Legible to the next person
Code, decisions, and systems are documented so the next person — or the next agent — can understand and safely change them. No heroics, no tribal knowledge.
